Bear Your Cross as You Wait for Your Crown

My heart is heavy

I can feel the weight on my chest

This is what it means to take up my cross

This is suffering with Christ

You have suffered more than this

This is my cross to bear 

I thank you for salvation

I thank you for the strength to carry on

I thank you for the opportunity this is

Thank you forgiving me just enough 

Thank you for my daily bread

God, help me to come to you 

Help me to seek you first

Help me to desire you most

Help me to come to you

I know that you have all I need

That you are the provider 

You know what I need

Even before I know what I need 

You’ve already got a plan 

A plan to provide more than I need

Enough that I can share with others

God provide me that strength
