God, I've been an encourager.
I've been an optimist and a ray of hope,
but I've also been beaten.
I've grown weary and hopeless before.
I'm weary now. I'm tired.
I'm hurting in more ways than one.
I'm terrified. Give me peace.
God, give me wisdom
so that I can know my limitations,
and please, God, give me the courage to ask for help when I need it.
Give me the boldness to speak up!
Show me how well I am loved by giving me ears to listen.
Ears that will hear my cry for help
and respond correctly and helpfully.
God, I pray for answers.
I pray that I won't be left wondering forever.
Please, give me the strength to search for answers
for as long as it will take.
And if I don't get any answers,
then give me peace through that.
If I get answers that aren't good,
Give me peace through that.
And give me the courage and grace to share
with who and how I need to.
I don't want my life to change,
but I recognize that something probably needs to
I'm trusting in you to get me through.
